Cocktailing 101: On The Menu…
Martini: dry, wet, shaken, or stirred: Much the same way a drink is prepared to suit a client’s individual taste, hair cocktailing is tailored to the particular needs and condition of your ‘do. A jigger of this, a splash of that – before you know it, you’ve got a formula for intoxicatingly beautiful hair.

Words of Wisdom: “When cocktailing your hair products, always test a small amount of your products in your hand first; viscosity, texture, and ingredients don’t always play well together. Also be cautious of mixing “stylers” and “finishers,” as these products play very different roles in the success of your finished look. Foam/oil, cream/oil, and foam/lotion are usually winners. Save the texture sprays, salt sprays, and hairsprays for layering rather than cocktailing.”
“Rise & Shine”
Recipe: One of my favorite cocktails for insanely shiny, smooth blowouts — especially on blondes, balayage, and highlights — is Blonde Life Brilliant Glow Brightening Oil. Use palm size pumps of foam and 1 – 3 drops of oil, depending on hair length and thickness. Mix together in the palm of your hands and apply to damp hair, from mids to ends. Brush through to evenly distribute.
